    Description: LOWF2026

Join us for another fantastic day of low flute playing led by Professor of Low Flutes at the Royal Academy: Carla Rees.

    Is this day for me?
If you own a low flute – or are interested in playing one - YES!
We recommend a minimum equivalent playing standard of grade 6 for you to get the most out of the day.
Under 18s are welcome as long as they are chaperoned.

Do I have to own a low flute?
No, though places are limited for those who only want to play concert flute.
There will be a number of instruments that can be borrowed on the day for
those who don't own an alto or bass flute.

    What’s the repertoire like?
Previous days have featured: JS Bach’s Brandenburg Concerti; Beethoven’s Allegretto (Symphony No. 7); Caldara’s Crucifixus; Carver’s O Bone Jesu; Janacek’s Sinfonietta Fanfare; Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries; Zipoli’s Adagio.
Submit your request from the Tetractys catalogue on the registration form.

    Where is the workshop venue?
Orton Waterville Village Hall is just 7 minutes from the A1 exit to the Showground/Chesterton, and 15 minutes from Peterborough Train Station (pickup/drop-off option is available).

How much does the day cost?
£50 (£45 if booked and paid before 31/01/2026), which includes all day refreshments (let us know any dietary requirements in the booking form, please). You'll just need to bring your own lunch.

    How do I book?
Please complete the form (https://forms.gle/hfE47hL6KXpUzSX96) to register your interest. When we confirm your place by email, we'll give details to pay by bank transfer.

I've got some questions, how can I get in contact?
