On 2nd March 2024, ten of us (plus an honorary member!) participated in the first Flute Choir Festival run by Birmingham Flute Choir. In addition a mass play session led by Mel Orriss, members attended morning and afternoon sessions that surrounded a lunchtime concert, before taking to the stage ourselves at the end of the day.

The concert was themed around the elements, and we performed: On the meadow, On the banks of green willow, Windmills of your mind, The Hebrides overture, April Showers.

2023 Flute workshop with Fenland Music Centre
On Saturday 18 March, we ran a day for flautists of all ages and abilities at St Peter's Church, March. We started with some warm ups and then all participants had a chance to have a go at all the different sized flutes: piccolo, alto and bass flutes. We then rehearsed in the afternoon and ended the workshop with an informal concert.
